Thistle Meets the Vet

  • Sep 2, 2013

Cadence went out today to visit Thistle and found her sick. She wasn't eating her feed and was just standing in her stall. Usually Thistle spends time pacing back and forth in her stall so it was obvious something was not right. At first everyone thought it was colic but the symptoms were not there. We called the Vet.

A really great man, Dr. Leclair, came out immediately and diagnosed Thistle with an Upper Respiratory Infection and prescribed antibiotics. He also told us to soak Thistle’s hay to remove any dust that might be in the hay so that she could eat easier. We will be taking her temperature twice a day for the next few weeks.
