A Rare and Meaningful Arrival

 

Aliyah Vanguard Reveille is a full Lippitt Morgan colt whose arrival carries both genetic significance and personal meaning for our program.

Statistically, he had only a 25% chance of being chestnut — and yet he arrived just so, complete with distinctive chrome: star, stripe, and snip, a near-side hind stocking, partial socks, and three uniquely marked “boots.” He also displays flaxen in his tail, adding to his visual presence.

Reveille will be the only foal ever produced by his dam, Aliy.

Several years ago, Aliy sustained a serious injury in a trailering accident while returning from a western dressage lesson. Though she recovered well and handled her pregnancy admirably, we have decided, after careful consideration, that it is in her best interest to retire from future breeding.

Reveille represents her singular contribution to the preservation of the Lippitt Morgan bloodline.

Temperament & Early Development

 

Reveille is a kind, people-oriented colt who enjoys interaction and handling.

His early development is being approached thoughtfully and at a pace appropriate for him as an individual. We are prioritizing correct growth, confidence, and foundational handling over early expectations.

He has begun gentle, age-appropriate groundwork and is learning basic manners with curiosity and willingness. His focus remains on steady development, soundness, and long-term potential rather than early advancement. As with all young horses, time and maturity will continue to reveal his strengths.

Future Potential & Genetic Significance

 

Reveille carries a full Lippitt pedigree and is 6-panel genetically clear, including PSSM1. Notably, his 8-generation inbreeding coefficient is 1.8% — exceptionally low within the Lippitt Morgan population. In a bloodline where linebreeding has historically been common, thoughtful attention to genetic diversity may play an important role in long-term preservation.

While we make no broad claims regarding breed-wide statistics, Reveille represents a meaningful opportunity for breeders who are prioritizing coefficient management and long-term vitality within the Lippitt bloodline.

In addition, his distinctive chrome and higher white markings — inherited through his dam’s line — may be of interest to programs that value traditional type paired with expressive presentation.  As the only foal of his dam, Reveille carries unique significance within our program. We are strongly considering retaining him; however, we would consider placement with an individual who understands both the responsibility and potential involved in stewarding rare bloodlines.

Placement Consideration

 

Reveille is currently being evaluated for retention within our program.

Should we decide to offer him, placement will be considered selectively and with careful attention to long-term stewardship. Preference will be given to individuals who understand young horse development and who value thoughtful preservation within the Lippitt Morgan bloodline. This is not a volume sale. Our priority remains the responsible future of this colt.
