Background

 

Aliy was purchased in utero from Free Spirit Farm prior to the program’s closure — a meaningful and forward-looking decision for our breeding program at the time. From a young age, Aliy demonstrated intelligence, athleticism, and a playful disposition. She has always possessed a thoughtful, engaged personality and a strong connection to her handler.

Injury & Recovery

 

In November 2019, Aliy was involved in a serious traffic accident resulting in vertebral injury. Her recovery exceeded early veterinary expectations, though she retains partial paralysis in one hind limb and limited tail function. Despite this, Aliy has adapted remarkably well. She lives comfortably within her herd and maintains excellent quality of life. Liberty work has become her primary outlet, allowing her to move freely and adjust naturally according to her comfort.

Her resilience and steady spirit continue to define her.

Production

 

After careful veterinary consultation and a period of recovery, Aliy was successfully bred and delivered a colt, Aliyah Vanguard Reveille, with assistance. Reveille will be her only foal. After thoughtful consideration, Aliy has been permanently retired from future breeding. Veterinary professionals have confirmed that embryo transfer is not a viable option.Her single contribution to the Lippitt Morgan bloodline is therefore both rare and significant within our program.

Legacy

 

Aliy represents perseverance, intelligence, and heart. While her competitive future was shortened, her influence within Aliyah Farm continues through her son and the genetic foundation she carries.
