Preservation Breeding of Lippitt Morgans & Morgan Sport Horses

Small Heading
Our specialty is training and has been for more than 30 years, first with dogs, and a few other species thrown in, and now training horses. We rehabilitate horses-in-need to help them find new homes. After our success with several difficult horses, other horse owners began asking for our help with their horse's behavioral problems as well. Because we have worked with a variety of different animals we are not locked into one style of training and use what works best for the animal.
This line of Lippitt is well known for their ability to excel at a variety of sports as well as being highly regarded for their wonderful temperaments making training easier. Those three traits alone make this pending foal something worth waiting for but taking a closer look at this foal's pedigree tells the rest of the story and why we chose Equinox Beaubrook as the sire of this foal.
Equinox Beaubrook, has two crosses to the stallion Royalton Ashbrook Darling with one of those crosses being as his sire. Our mare Z halcyon April has three crosses to Royalton Ashbrook Darling. From there the most prominent mare through Royalton Ashbrook Darling is Jennie, daughter of the Morgan Archetype Hales Green Mountain Morgan. Hales Green Mountain Morgan exemplify the original Morgan type and spirit so much so that Hales Green Mountain's image adorns the paperwork of every Morgan Horse registered today. We are excited to be able to focus and bring forward, thanks to Z Halcyon April and Equinox Beaubrook, the maternal blood of Jennie and that of her daughter, by Ethan Allen, referred to as Stephen Dow Mare the dam of the Lippitt Cornerstone stallion Ethan Allen 2nd.
True that every Lippitt living today traces back to the stallion Ethan Allen 2nd, he is after all the cornerstone so why is the nearly nondescript mare Jennie of so much interest to us as breeders? Jennie the product of three maternal crosses to Justin Morgan then combine that with the blood of Ethan Allen
Why are we so excited about this coming foal?
Unnamed Filly's first day
Aliyah's Chantilly
Bay Roan, Morloosa sporthorse
Named after the Chantilly Race Track in France.
She sure is living up to her name.
We are Extremely happy with this girl. She is everything we expected her to be. She's got smarts, bursting speed, loves attention, fantastic movement and very agile, along with confidence and a touch of independence. We see a future gymkhana horse in the making but also see wonderful dressage potential in her beautiful movement.
Height wise ... we are sure she is going to be about 14.3, like her daddy but she looks like she might even clear 15 hands... we will get a good estimate for her height when she turns 3 months old.

C-My Doc Holiday is a full Lippitt Stallion with an amazing temperament. People are surprised to discover he is a stallion because of how sweet and easy going he is. Breeding wise Doc is strongly influenced by the celebrated Lippitt stallion STILLWATER INDIGO, who excel in numerous activities from driving to Mounted Police. Doc is sired by the late RYEGATE MAJOR whose strongest influence comes from Lippitt Ethan Ash, a Lippitt stallion known for producing lovely traditional and very Type Morgan horses. Ethan Ash's genetic power was strongly influenced by both Ethan Allen 3rd. and Ethan Allen 2nd. Ethan Allen 2nd., cornerstone stallion of the Lippitt family, during his lifetime was said to be strongest source to the blood of Figure.
Z Halcyon April, we call her Archer, is a full Lippitt mare with extreme loyalty to her person. She loves trails and has that "Bear went over the mountain" attitude, nothing will stop her. She can go on forever with her fast, smooth, walk or in her Morgan trot ..... until you turn around to head home... then she slows down and drags her feet. Archer loves children and is very accommodating to their whims. Adults, she holds to a higher standard and expects mutual respect in a partner relationship. We are lucky to have Archer, from a successful line of working ranch horses, a daughter of the first Lippitt we were introduced to, himself a notable Lippitt stallion SANDROCK JOEL. The gorgeous Joel, was still siring foals at age 34, and a son of EDGEWOOD HALLMARK another hard working ranch horse. Archer's pedigree is additionally influenced through the Lippitt stallions ROYALTON ASHBROOK DARLING and ASHBROOK considered by A. F. Phillips, who valued the old style Morgan, to be the epitome of his breeding program. ASHBROOK was all Morgan, still carrying 25% of the blood of Figure, more than 100 years after Figure's death.
Aliyah Heaven's Crescendo
Brown Full Lippitt Filly
foaled at 03:09 May 15, 2018
The evening before she arrived was marked with a huge thunderstorm dumping a lot of much needed rain in our area.
This little girl decided it was time to make her appearance two weeks early. Despite being early this girl has had no trouble getting her start in life. Up and running well before her mamma was ready to nurse her yet spunky enough to fend for herself .
She is big, with large bones and hooves. Her legs are the first think you notice then her pretty coloring. Getting around hasn't been too bad however with so much leg learning how to keep them under control is a necessity.

Appaloosa
Appaloosa Sport Horse
Appaloosa Sport Horse foal born April 10, 2018. This is an exciting breeding as this foal has the bay roan coloring with the Morgan look and temperament. The roaning color is referred to as varnish in the Appaloosa.
There's a secret to why we knew this girl was going to be so fantastic.
About Thistle: Thistle is a sweet mare that wants to love but due to a rough start in life she doesn't trust humans easily. She stands 14 hands high and would make a great kids competition horse if her start in life had been less abusive. On a straight away she has speed to burn and loves burning it. Even heavy in foal she still enjoys a good gallop and still does some pretty sharp turns too, round belly and all. Thistle is very athletic and pregnancy isn't slowing her down much. On the trail she gives the smoothest of rides. Her trot is beautifully floating. When not pregnant Thistle is being worked toward competing in Working Equation and Gymkhana events.
About Doc: Doc is a full Lippitt Stallion (Old Style Morgan) with an amazing temperament.
